Officials Notes:

All USA swimming rules for stroke and turn will be followed except for turns in backstroke events. In all BCSL meets, swimmers will not be disqualified for delay in initiating the arm pull after rotating onto the breast or for delay in initiating the turn at the completion of the arm pull.

The State of Ohio has now mandated concussion training for all coaches and referees.  This went into effect on April 26, 2013.  Attached are a few documents explaining the new law, which you are receiving because we are required to send to all swim team families.

Head UP Concussion Volunteer Training ONLINE. ALL volunteer coaches MUST take this online and either email me or bring a copy to the meeting next week. It takes about 45 minutes. This is also referred to as the Return to Play Law.

http://www.cdc.gov/concussion/HeadsUp/online_training.html scroll down and where it states: Launch the online learning that is where you start the test.
